Kos island has a mild climate, enchanting landscapes,interesting archaeological sites and wide sandy beaches. The Kos town is not large, but has a beautiful layout, hotels, many restaurants, taverns, bars, a great variety of shops and all the services and comforts of a modern town, with a touch of simplicity and largesse.
The sights of the town are:The Plane-tree of Hippokrates, The Mediaeval Castle, Excavations at the port, The ancient Gymnasium "Xystos", The Odeon,Casa Romana, The Museum,The Asklepieion. Villages of the island is: Asfendiou, Pyli, Tingaki, Marmari, Antimachia, Mastixari,Kefalos,Zipari and Kardamena.
This coastal village every summer begining May 1st till October 30th is home to thousands of turist who come here to party and enjoy the sun. We also have a minority who come here for a quit vacation. This is not suprising when you think what we offer, we have gorgeous beaches unending sun, good food and a beautiful night life.
What is surprising is the fact that we have preseved our past.There are many things to see and do on the island. Kardamena has 14 kilometers of sandy beaches and a population of 2000 people.
All our summer resorts have many water sports,theres windsurfing,kayak,small boats for rent, there are diving schools and you could also rent diving equipment.
You could also rent a car or motorbike and see the island and all the beautiful villages or you organize a nice excursion to island near Kardamena.

The climate in the area is Meditaranian. This way we do not have cold winters (very few times the temperature goes under O*C or never), we do not have extremely hot summers (temperatures around 35*C). From May to October it hardly ever rains. Spring and Fall in the night time is quite humid. Sometimes in the winter we have strong northern winds. In spring and summer we have the winds called "meltemia" very rarely. The climate in general is very sunny,for a great vacation.
